The ZLX0EDI03 Elix® 3 EDI Module is a replacement Electrodeionization (EDI) purification module designed for the Elix® 3 laboratory water purification system. It continuously removes dissolved ionic contaminants from reverse osmosis (RO) permeate to produce high-quality Type II pure water without the need for chemical regeneration or disposable ion-exchange cartridges. The module combines ion-exchange resins with ion-selective membranes and an applied electric field, enabling continuous resin regeneration and consistent water quality.

Operating Principle
The Elix® EDI module receives water that has already been treated by a reverse osmosis membrane. Inside the module:
- Mixed-bed ion-exchange resin captures remaining dissolved ions.
- An applied DC electric field continuously regenerates the resin.
- Cation- and anion-selective membranes transport dissolved ions into concentrate channels.
- No chemical regeneration is required.
- High-purity water is produced continuously with stable quality.
